The Rose Bowl is off the table for the Washington State football team - in fact, it's bounced out of the dining room and rolled down the street. The Rose will this year serve as one of the semifinal games for the College Football Playoff, so even if the Cougars win their last two regular-season contests and the Pac-12 championship game, their chances of cracking the top four in the CFP rankings are infinitesimal. But WSU will indeed go bowling this winter. Many forecasters see the Cougs returning to the Holiday Bowl for the second consecutive season; the Trib is projecting a trip to the Bay Area for the Foster Farms Bowl.
