Stevens letter: NFL protests

I do believe there is social injustice in the United States. I do not believe disrespect for our armed forces, the country and the flag will solve the problem. The NFL players could solve a big part of the problem by donating 10 percent of all their gross paychecks to a Social Injustice Fund. At the end of the seasons a majority vote of players could use the money where they think the problem could be reduced. Over 10 or 20 years a very large part of the problem should be solved. In the interval all players would stand and honor our flag, country and soldiers. Disrespect for anything or anyone will not solve any part of the overall problem. The players deserve their voice and this should give them more opportunity that paying NFL customers would accept.
