Boise State football adds four home-and-home series, including one vs. Pac-12 team

Boise State on Thursday announced nine future football games — four home-and-home series and a 2019 home game against Portland State.

The home-and-homes are with Washington State (2026-27), Houston (2021 and 2024), East Carolina (2026 and 2028) and Georgia Southern (2020 and 2024).

Boise State is 1-5 all-time against Washington State, and lost in the 2007 Hawaii Bowl to East Carolina. The school has never played Houston or Georgia Southern.

The Broncos have a full four non-conference games for the next six seasons, 2018 through 2023. They have at least one game against a Power Five conference in each of those years, including a road matchup at Oklahoma State next season.

The Portland State game filled a need for a home game in 2019. The Broncos didn’t have an opening for a road game until at least 2021, so getting a home-and-home for that spot would have been a challenge.
