A car crash early Monday resulted in one death at Route B and Academy Road just south of Hallsville.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Isaiah Black, 20, was driving a Dodge Durango when he crossed the center line and hit Thomas Willems, who was driving a Ford Fiesta.

One of the drivers was pronounced dead shortly after 6 a.m., but the report did not make clear which driver had died. Black was not wearing a seat belt and Willems was, according to the crash report.

The Highway Patrol and Boone County Sheriff's Department did not respond to calls for more information.
