A drop-in meeting about planned improvements at Lions-Stephens Park will be held next Tuesday.

Columbia Parks and Recreation has scheduled the meeting for 5 to 7 p.m. at the park, 104 N. William St.

Improvements to the park include replacing the shelter and playground, both more than 20 years old. Installation of a new playground safety surface and miscellaneous park amenities are proposed improvements as well.

The park sales tax, approved in 2015, will fund the $100,000 project.

Parks and Recreation staff will be at the meeting with the proposed plans to answer questions and take comments.

For more information, contact Columbia Parks and Recreation at 874-7460.
