BCEDC to host business roundtable

SANDPOINT - Bonner County Economic Development Corporation is hosting a business roundtable meeting at 7:30 a.m. on July 10 titled, “Should Your Company Export?”

The breakfast discussion is free and open to the general public. It will be held at the community room in the Intermountain Community Bank Building with a no-host open breakfast menu provided by the Tango Cafe.

Presenting will be a BCEDC member, Patrick Rossi. Rossi is president and CEO of Rossi International & Associates, an international business coach in the business of assisting area companies who desire to expand their sales globally. Rossi has more than 25 years experience in international trade and trade finance. Prior to relocating to the Sandpoint area his professional assignments stationed him in London, as well as various stops along America's west coast.

Rossi recently completed a new business development project for BCEDC member Cascade Toboggan and was officially selected by the Clearwater Economic Development Council in concert with The North Idaho Manufacturers Association as the business development consultant to assist their manufacturers in a five county area.

This brief breakfast discussion will talk about how exports have become a huge growth engine for American manufacturers while U.S. domestic sales remain in decline. Rossi will help attendees understand some of the challenges faced by a company that has decided to export while focusing on a few creative business development concepts and the resources available for success in this challenging marketplace.

If audience survey responses support it, the breakfast will be the first in a series of discussions focused on taking your products international.
