Set your calendars for two exciting art shows. This Friday, Dec. 8 Pend Oreille Arts Council will host an artists’ reception at the Power House, 120 E. Lake Street from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

This exhibit will feature the creative artwork of a dozen local artists based on the theme “Power of Renaissance.” For many years POAC had their offices in the Power House and this show will feature how the artists’ works have grown in the elapsed time.

Another show you won’t want to miss opens Friday, Dec. 15 at the Sandpoint Center (aka Columbia Bank Building, 414 Church Street). This artists’ reception will also run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Three floors of artwork including miniatures, abstracts and fiber art will be on display.

For more information about these shows or for other events scheduled by Pend Oreille Arts Council go to artinsandpoint.org or call the office at 208-263-6139.
