The Hanna Flats project is a vegetation management project designed to address forest health, hazardous fuels, recreation trails, and a number of other resource needs on approximately 2,839 acres within the 6,800-acre project area. This project uses authorities from the Good Neighbor Authority in the 2014 Farm Bill to work with the Idaho Department of Lands (IDL) to use personnel and resources to increase the pace and scale of forest restoration on National Forest System lands. Additional information about the project is available at the link provided above.
Local landowners, environmental groups, timber industry representatives, and recreational interests are participating in the development of the project. Chandra Neils, Acting Priest Lake District Ranger, would like to thank all of the stakeholders involved in the project planning efforts. Please contact David Cobb, Project Team Leader, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 208-443-6854 with any questions about this project.
