BOISE — The Gladys E. Langroise Advised Fund in the Idaho Community Foundation has awarded grants totaling $455,415 to nonprofits in every region of Idaho. Kinderhaven in Sandpoint received $15,000.

The Langroise Fund advisors also agreed to allow ICF to distribute an additional $151,805 through its three regional grant cycles.

The Gladys E. Langroise Advised Fund was established through a generous $15 million bequest to the Idaho Community Foundation from Boise philanthropist Gladys Langroise. The grant supports the health, education and welfare of children, including college students. Mrs. Langroise died in early 2000, just prior to her 100th birthday.

The fund advisers annually recommend grants that address what they believe Mrs. Langroise would have considered areas of special interest or greatest need.
