Shelter contest is ‘Bad to the Bone’

PONDERAY — Who knew that when George Thorogood & The Destroyers first introduced the song “Bad to the Bone” back in 1982 that one day the band would be doing good for animals organizations, like Panhandle Animal Shelter?

It’s true and it’s happening here. This month, Thorogood and the band will partner with The Festival at Sandpoint, Blue Sky Broadcasting, and PAS to promote pet adoption. Enter a photo of your devilishly cute pet for the chance to win two tickets to the George Thorogood & the Destroyers concert at the Festival at Sandpoint on Saturday, August 12.

The photo contest started Monday and runs through August 9. To enter, go to Panhandle Animal Shelter’s Facebook page. The photo with the most likes will win. Along with the two concert tickets, the “Bad to the Bone” winner will receive a swag bag from George Thorogood and merchandise from EzyDog!

In addition, PAS has a “Bad to the Bone” adoption special throughout the month of August, with the adult dog adoption fee of $20 and cat adoption fees as low as $10.

So who do you love? Show us by entering your cute pet photos to win a very “bad” (as in good) experience with a rock legend.
