Sandpoint council is meeting today

SANDPOINT — A special Sandpoint City Council meeting is being held today at 1 p.m. to vote on a hazard mitigation plan.

The countywide plan goes to FEMA but local jurisdications are required to approve the plan as well.

In other news, if you have business to transact at Sandpoint City Hall, don’t wait until Friday. City offices will be closed on Friday in observance of Veterans Day even though the remembrance falls on a Saturday.
