Restrictions lifted from most roads

Bit by bit, weight limits are being removed from roads in Bonner County, with restrictions remaining on just a few, according to Bonner County Road & Bridge officials.

District 1 (south of the Long Bridge — Churchhill Road remains posted with weight limits. Schneiders Road is posted as “no hauling,” which means no commercial vehicles and no residential hauling.

Restrictions have been lifted from all other roads in the district.

District 2 (Priest River/Priest Lake) — All road have been lifted from weight limits.

District 3 (Sandpoint/Clark Fork) — Trestle Creek Road (from the 2300 block going east) remains posted with weight limits. Restrictions have been lifted from all other roads in the district.

Per county ordinance, it is the responsibility of the hauler to contact the Bonner County Road & Bridge Department to determine whether or not these restrictions are in place. The restrictions will remain in effect until changed, at which time updates will be posted.
