This week’s episode of HLN’s docuseries “Sex and Murder” examines the 2018 murder of Larry Isenberg.

The episode, called “Deadly Breakfast Date,” will air Sunday at 10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on HLN.

Laurcene “Lori” Isenberg was sentenced to life in prison last year for murdering her husband.

She said her husband, Larry Isenberg, fell from the couple’s boat and drowned in Coeur d’Alene Lake — but an autopsy showed that he died due to an overdose of Benadryl.

The episode’s guests include former journalist Ralph Bartholdt, who reported on the case for The Coeur d’Alene Press. He is now a communications manager for the University of Idaho.

The Isenberg killing is one of several high-profile murder cases Bartholdt covered during his time at The Press.

Others include the killing of Coeur d’Alene Police Sgt. Greg Moore by Jonathan D. Renfro, who was sentenced to death in 2017, and the case of David Hutto, who received back-to-back life sentences for his role in the 2016 murder of William “Bo” Kirk.

“That stands out to me because it was brutal,” he said. “It was just random murder.”

In contrast, he said, the murder of Larry Isenberg was premeditated.

“Deadly Breakfast Date” will be available on demand the day after broadcast via cable/satellite systems. The episode will also stream live for subscribers via CNNgo.
