Pius George Augustine, 88, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, in Sandpoint, Idaho.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at The Bridge Assisted Living.
Pius was born on Sept. 3, 1924, in Ellis, Kan., to Frank and Lena Augustine.
After his schooling, Pius joined the U.S. Army where he served during World War II and Korea.
He married Dorothy Arnold on Nov. 1, 1944, in Dolphin, Ala.
Pius worked as a commercial painter in Colorado.
He retired to Arizona prior to moving to North Idaho.
He enjoyed music, playing cards, yard work and traveling in his motor home.
He is survived by three daughters, Sharon (Tom) Walton of Sagle, Idaho, Joyce (Tony) Ungry of Bennett, Colo., and Arwin Mandeville of Westminster, Colo.; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, ex-wife Dorothy, and three siblings.
