George Robert “Peck” King, 29, passed away at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Wash., on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. (MST) on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at the Noxon Montana Cemetery. A potluck reception will follow at the Naughty Pine Saloon in Trout Creek, Mont.
Peck was born on May 14, 1983, in Plains, Mont. He grew up in Trout Creek and attended schools in Noxon. After high school he worked at the TRL sawmill in Thomp-son Falls and worked construction. He most recently worked as an engineering consultant and locomotive technician for POVA Railroad.
He loved his friends and family and they regarded him as a “technical genius.” He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, snowmobiling, and riding horses.
He is survived by his two daughters, Mable, 5, and Autumn, 3, of Rathdrum, Idaho; two sisters, Kat King and her children Jacob and Kaleb, all of Trout Creek, and Plug King of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; a brother, Homer King of Trout Creek; and a special cousin, Justin King. He is also survived by his parents, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pat and Louise King.
