Oleson, Bunty earn pins at Pacific Northwest Classic

SPOKANE — Sophomore Casey Oleson (106 pounds) ran his record to a rock-solid 14-3 on Friday with a second period pin over North Central, leading the Bulldog wrestling team to an 11th place finish among 17 teams on Friday during day one of the Pacific Northwest Classic at University High School.

Scout Nash (14-3) scored a 9-1 major decision over host University, Preston Bunty (15-6) pinned his Freeman opponent in the first period, Andrew Webster won a 6-4 decision over Coeur d’Alene at 170 pounds and Calum Wilcox pinned his Coeur d’Alene opponent in the third round to lead the Bulldogs.

Action continues today, starting at 9 a.m. at University High School.
