Little Dribblers youth basketball program on tap

SANDPOINT — Attention all area first and second graders interested in learning the sport of basketball: The Little Dribblers Basketball program will be held in February and March in Sandpoint.

This clinic style basketball program is designed to introduce first and second grade participants to the game of basketball and teach the basics of the game with a heavy emphasis on dribbling and ball handling.

Pre-register for this program by Jan. 23 at Parks and Rec (1123 Lake St.). A Sandpoint youth sport jersey is required, and can be purchased when signing up. The fee to participate is $20 ($5 discount for city of Sandpoint residents).

The Little Dribblers program will take place from 2:30-4 p.m. for the first grade, and 2:30-4 p.m. for the second grade at Kootenai Elementary School on Wednesdays, on Feb. 15 and 22, and March 1, 8, 15 and 22.
