The Sandpoint-based team took down the Seattle J24 fleet, one of the largest in the nation, taming the winds that averaged between 20-30 knots. “These were very challenging and cold conditions. Between the high winds, large swells and the Puget Sound tidal currents, it was tough to keep focused,” said Chambers, who was also captain last year while winning the prestigious Ultimate 20 North American Championships in San Francisco. “Our goal was to finish consistently in the top three, which is all you can ask for.” The crew will compete at the J24 Nationals on May 17-21 in Seattle.
