  • Sandpoint Nordic Club enjoys hike to Harrison Lake Just because it’s the dead of summer doesn’t mean the Sandpoint Nordic Club isn’t busy, far from it. In addition to cross-training twice a week in the summer, there are also the occasional Saturday adventures, including a recent hike to Harrison Lake. The kids got to do some sliding on the snow, as well as a dip in the lake, as (left to right) Blayne Kanning, Eoin Eddy and Kai Longanecker cool off. “The purpose of these outings is to both build athlete endurance as well as team camaraderie,” said Vicki Reich, one of the club coaches. “We had athletes and their several parents join us; an awesome day.” (Courtesy photos)
