SHS coaches lead Sandpoint Grid Kids Camp

(Photo by ERIC PLUMMER) Local 8th grader Merek Bauck hauls in a pass during the YMCA Sandpoint Grid Kids football camp on Wednesday at the SHS field. Bulldog coaches and players led more than 60 kids from 3rd through 8th grade during the first day of the free two-day camp. Sandpoint head coach George Yarno enjoyed seeing the energy of the kids, who get a chance to learn plays from his offense. “The fact they can come out here and learn our system, learn what they’re going to do in my system,” said Yarno, entering his second year at the helm. “They’re going to be a step ahead of everyone else.”
