Four former Bulldogs faced off against each other, with No. 6 ranked Montana Tech downing Carroll 45-28 in a showdown of top Frontier Conference teams on Saturday in Butte, Montana. Todd Pays started at right guard and didn’t allow a sack against, Tim Pays played along the line and Sundquist started at linebacker, marking a rare occasion where former Bulldogs face off in college. “This has not happen since Ryan Knowles started at defensive end for the Vandals, and lined up across from tight end Jeremy Thielbar for the Washington State Cougars,” recalled Puailoa. “Also interesting were both Ryan and Jeremy, who played together on the same team at Sandpoint, were also team captains that year for the Vandals and Cougs.”
