Take a look at this picture and ponder the many variables that go into executing a cheerleading stunt, as flyer Kendall Mitton comes down to fellow stunt group members, left to right, Austin Greene, Savannah Morgan and Caelen Darling recently. The team puts in a ton of practice time, while supporting basketball and wrestling and preparing for the competition season starting in late January. “We start with small stunts, baskets and pyramids, and continue to add harder skills to all of them,” described Bulldog cheer coach Lori Gedrose of the stunt group. “These skills take a confident flyer, strong bases and repeating the skill over and over until they are perfected and look so easy to perform in front of an audience.” (Photo by ERIC PLUMMER)
