Kirscher voted to state all-star games at NIC

COEUR d’ALENE — The North Idaho College athletics department announced the rosters for the 15th annual Idaho Statewide High School All-Star basketball games, to be held on Saturday, March 24 at Rolly Williams Court. Game time is 1 p.m. for the girls, followed at 3:30 by the boys game.

Senior Grace Kirscher was named to the girls team, and senior Robbie Johnson was voted as first alternate, and will be added to the roster if anyone can’t make it.

This year’s format will match seniors primarily from the Boise (Metro) area against the rest of the state (Region). Players selected for the games were chosen from nominations from media representatives from around the state. The rosters are divided to include 12 players on each team, with two additional alternates to participate in the event a selected player is unable to participate.

Games are sanctioned by the Idaho High School Activities Association. There is a 3-point shooting content and dunk contest in-between games.

METRO TEAM — Lydia Nieto, Bishop Kelly; Alyssa Bolt, Borah; Caitlin Crist, Canyon Ridge; Holly Golenor, Cole Valley Christian; Beverly Slater, Capital; Ami T’ia, Centennial; Kate Murray, Eagle; Janie King, Eagle; Kori Pentzer, Melba; Kylie Meadows, Mountain Home; Bukky Ogunrinola, Ridgevue. Alternates are Morgan Laird, West Jefferson and Meriah Deugan, Middleton. Coach is Cody Pickett, Eagle.
