The Sandpoint cheerleaders were named Grand Champions at the District Meet on Saturday at Lakeland High School. The Bulldogs placed first in coed show, sideline and coed stunt, and second in Pom, and will head to state in Nampa on March 16 with plenty of confidence. With the help of assistant coach Chloe Gedrose, the majority of the team performed back handsprings, executed elite stunts, and increased jump skills. “I’m so proud of this team. They have worked hard to have one shot at performing routines with stunts, pyramid, tumbling and cheers, and danced flawlessly to come out being Grand Champions,” said head coach Lori Gedrose. “They are so excited to be performing all routines at state this year.” (Courtesy photo)
