Wampus Cats ready for district championships

(Photo by ELLIE KIEBERT) Clark Fork sophomore Sara Hathaway and the Wampus Cat track team will be in action today and Saturday at the 1A District 1-2 track and field championships in Lapwai, with state berths on the line. Hathaway currently holds the No. 2 mark in the state 1A ranks with a high jump of 5-0, and also ranks second in the 300 hurdles (48.93) and third in the 100 hurdles (16.82). The top five individuals and top two relays in each event qualify for state on May 18-19 in Middleton.
