Freedom Fun Run kicks off Clark Fork 4th festivities

(Courtesy photo) Nate Christiansen, left holding the flag, and Jonah Kolb joined more than 50 runners for the Freedom Fun Run in Clark Fork, which kicked off the July 4 festivities with a 5K run up scenic Lightning Creek. Proceeds from the event go toward scholarships for college-bound Clark Fork seniors and funding the operation of the Filling Station Youth Center in Clark Fork. The Filling Station is a large building with a full-sized gym, commercial kitchen, free clothing closet and large den area with several games. Thanks to the support from the run, it’s able to host several youth groups, events and outings all at no charge to the youth of the Clark Fork Valley.
