1A Wampus Cats hold their own against 3A Spartans

PRIEST RIVER — Dylan Roper and Hunter Boudousquie combined for 32 points, and Clark Fork started out hot offensively, before Priest River dominated the third quarter and took control of a 73-60 win in nonleague boys basketball Thursday night at Priest River High School.

He didn't realize the par at Monterey Peninsula was 71 until he scrambled for par on his final hole and realized while signing his card Friday that he set the course record with a career-low 60.

Jensen, Roop power Thunder to big wins

KOOTENAI — Shayne Jensen posted 16 points, five rebounds, three steals and two blocks, leading the Kootenai Thunder boys basketball team to a 55-51 overtime loss to North Idaho Christian, nearly handing the top team in the Mountain Christian League their first league loss.
