Hawks top Bulldogs in 4A IEL wrestling dual

RATHDRUM — Mahonri Hunsaker (152 pounds), Tyler Presser (160), Casey Randles (182) and Calum Wilcox (195) earned pins for Sandpoint, which lost 51-33 to Lakeland in a 4A Inland Empire League wrestling dual Friday night at Lakeland High School.

Wampus Cats’ season ends in loss to Jaguars

KELLOGG — The defensive effort was there, but the Wampus Cats struggled on the other end of the court, ending their season with a 44-22 loss to Genesis Prep in a loser-out game of the 1A Division II tournament Thursday night at Kellogg High School.

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Sung Kang didn't know anything about his amateur partner until he went on the Internet and looked up actor Ray Romano. He didn't realize the par at Monterey Peninsula was 71 until he scrambled for par on his final hole and realized while signing his card Friday that he set the course record with a career-low 60.
