Kootenai Tribe of Idaho Open Position Aquaculture Technician I Hours: Full-time, 40 hours a week Starting wage: $10.00/hour to start; $11.00 after successful probationary period Position Description and Requirements: The Aquaculture Technician I is responsible for assisting in hatchery production of burbot at the Kootenai Tribe's Sturgeon and Burbot Hatchery in Moyie Springs, Idaho. Duties include assisting with spawning, daily feeding of fish and cleaning of tanks, participation in routine hatchery operations, maintaining clean and sanitary conditions, data collection and entry, and assisting other fish and wildlife projects as needed. Mandatory Requirements include: Valid Driver's License High School Diploma or GED Strong commitment to 40 hours per week (weekends, nights, holidays as needed) Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing Ability to be insure under the Tribe's auto insurance policy Completion of mandatory training courses as needed Ability to work well with others **Native American Preference Will Be Exercised** Job Announcement and Application can be picked up at Tribal Office Complete application and resume must be received at Tribal Office by April 24th by 12:00pm.
