The Clarkston High football program is sending three players to the next level, with Jaxson Allen, Sebastian Downs and Ben Cunningham all signing with college programs this past week.

Allen, who will play linebacker, and Downs, who will be a defensive lineman, signed with Rocky Mountain, an NAIA program in Billings, Mont. And Cunningham, who will play stand-up defensive end, is heading to another NAIA school, Eastern Oregon of La Grande.

The three Bantams heading for college programs is the most Clarkston has sent in one year during coach Brycen Bye’s five-year tenure.

“It’s really exciting for the program and exciting for those guys, because they’ve put in a ton of work,” Bye said. “They worked themselves into having that opportunity.”

Allen is the son of Jesse and Jackie Allen; Downs is the son of Helen and Barrett Downs; and Cunningham is the son of Aaron and Tina Cunningham.
