SANDPOINT — The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce welcomed Matchwood Brewing Company to the organization with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at their Business After Hours on Oct. 24.

Matchwood Brewing Company opened their doors on Saturday, Oct. 20, after the renovation of a local building in the granary district. Owners Kennden Culp and Andrea Marcoccio came to Sandpoint with a dream of opening a neighborhood brewery.

In addition, he has worked for a local beer and wine distributor interfacing with both customers and distribution staff. I

Culp has over 20 years of experience as a property and project manager with construction, concrete, electrical, welding, plumbing, heavy equipment operation, skilled labor and building experience. He obtained a business degree from the University of Montana with a certificate in entertainment management.

Andrea Marcoccio is the co-owner and general manager of Matchwood Brewing Company. In advance to opening Matchwood Brewing with her husband, she received hands-on training at Imagine Nation Brewing Company in business development and management.
