Robocalls to Florida voters are disgusting

Print Article

The Tallahassee Democrat (and later CNN and other outlets) reported that racist robocalls to Florida voters were paid for by “The Road to Power, an anti-Semitic, white supremacist website and podcast linked to Scott Rhodes of Sandpoint.” The article also reported that similar calls were made to other states and sponsored by this neo-Nazi group.

The target of the robocalls was Andrew Gillum, an African-American candidate for governor. It is disgusting to me, and I hope the vast majority of Bonner County residents, that this neo-Nazi group in Sandpoint is doing such robocalls.

We all must judge individuals on their merits, actions and statements, NOT the color of their skin or their religion or lack of religion. We should all condemn this heinous act.
