Teachers already make healthy wage

Print Article

So, let me get this right: As a disabled woman with a retired husband living on a limited income, in March I’m supposed to vote “yes” on a levy to increase wages for teachers, which in turn would increase our property taxes, when according to the Lake Pend Oreille School District a local third grade teacher makes $5400.00 a month? I don’t think so.

The information is listed on the Lake Pend Oreille School District’s website (on the left-hand side, under “payroll distributions).
