Guinan will bring fiscal responsibility, citizens’ voice to council

Nepotism is an ugly disease. And it reared its head this past budget cycle when the sitting mayor created a crisis (Sandpoint is “racist”) and then offered up a solution that would have lined his pockets with taxpayer money. How? By paying his new wife, who just so happens to be a “sensitivity” trainer, taxpayer dollars to address said crisis.

Who unearthed this obviously unethical line item? A small army of fiscally responsible Sandpoint residents lead by a fearless woman who is now running for City Council.

Her name is Jacque Guinan. And she’s stepped up to the plate to address the board’s inflated spending, regulation and fee abuses, environmental concerns, and its less-than-friendly business environment.

And you can help Jacque be your voice on the next Sandpoint City Council by casting your vote for balance on the next city council.

Voters deserve a city council that represents all Sandpoint residents, not just the few. So please consider giving Jacque Guinan your vote on Nov. 5.
