The community is invited to be a part of this year’s KNPS fundraiser. The event, which is scheduled for April 3, will be held at Baxters on Cedar/The Back Door. Baxters generously donates a portion of the day’s profits to KNPS.
Raffle items include: a Lake Pend Oreille cruise for two, a vegetable hod basket filled with treasures, and a native plants certificate package that includes a native plants gift certificate from Cedar Mountain Perennials, a home design consultation, and a lovely flower press. Tickets are being sold for $1, or six tickets for $5.
Proceeds from this event help the native plant society maintain the Sandpoint Arboretum, provide speakers free to the public, and many other services to encourage native plants in the community. Please encourage friends, families, and neighbors to join this fun Wednesday event.
Baxters is located at 109 Cedar St. Sandpoint. Baxters on Cedar hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and The Back Door opens at 3 p.m. The annual raffle begins at 11 a.m., with tickets drawn at 8 p.m.
The Kinnikinnick Native Plant Society is dedicated to fostering an understanding and appreciation of native flora and its habitats in the panhandle area of North Idaho. In addition, the group is an advocate of the conservation of the area’s rich natural heritage for future generations, and encourages the responsible use of native plants in landscaping and restoration
