PRT changing with the times

After having been unprofitable for years, the Wednesday edition of the Priest River Times will be replaced by a Thursday countywide edition produced by the Bonner County Daily Bee. The change is effective today.

“Local news and sports, obituaries and legal notices along with preprint advertising will still be vital components of the weekly newspaper delivered to former Priest River Times subscribers,” said Alsy Brinkmeyer, general manager of the Times and the Daily Bee. “From a financial perspective, this was the best way to continue to produce a good product for our customers.”

Brinkmeyer said the change will occur automatically. Times customers will receive the regional edition of the Bee without interruption each Thursday. Six-day delivery of the Daily Bee to most Priest River homes is also available to customers who want more than a weekly newspaper. To learn more, call 208-664-0220.
