Accidental shooting reported

SANDPOINT — A person suffered non-life-threatening injuries in an accidental shooting on Tuesday morning.

Sandpoint Police were summoned to the 2500 block of U.S. Highway 2 after receiving a report of an accidental shooting at 8:13 a.m. The location is west of the Idaho Department of Lands office.

Sandpoint Police Chief Corey Coon did not respond to a request for comment on the incident on Wednesday.

The shooting did not result in injuries that threatened the victim’s life, according to a Bonner Dispatch log.
