Megafires program set for Thursday

“Era of Megafires” a multimedia learning experience will take place Thursday, April 18. The program, which will begin at 5:30 p.m., will be held at the Camus Center, 1821 N. LeClerc Road, Cusick.

The event, which includes a film, will be followed by discussion about the effects of fires on the ecosystem. It is presented by the Northeast Washington Forest Coalition, Kalispel Natural Resourses, U.S. Forest Service, Washington Department of Natural Resources and North 40 Productions.

Folks are invited to stay afterward to discuss the Sxwuyth-Kaniksu Connections restoration project.
