SANDPOINT — A person was pronounced dead on Wednesday after medical and law enforcement personnel responded to a report of a partial drowning in Lake Pend Oreille.
The person’s name was not released pending the notification of kin, according to Bonner County Undersheriff Ror Lakewold.
The person was pronounced dead shortly before 4 p.m. First-responders were summoned to the end of West Oden Bay Road after receiving the partial drowning report.
Lakewold said deputies assisted Bonner County EMS personnel at the scene. Coroner Robert Beers will report the cause of death, Lakewold added.
Lakewold said the death is likely medical-related.
“There is no indication of suspicious circumstances or foul play related to this death,” said Lakewold.
