Frank Eugene Shockley Sr., 65

Frank Eugene Shockley Sr., 65, passed away, Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005, at his home in Sagle, Idaho.

Visitation will be held from 1-7 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint. Funeral services will be held at noon, Friday, February 11, 2005 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Westmond Ward, with Bishop Doug Marks conducting. Burial will follow at the Pack River Cemetery.

Frank was born April 14, 1939, in Mason City, Wash., to Frank and Elaine (Haire) Shockley. He always enjoyed working outdoors. He began working at a young age in logging, mining, and later for Burlington Northern as a railroad trackman, foreman and track inspector.

Frank married Mary Raan on June 1, 1966, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho. He retired and moved to Talache in 1997.

Frank is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed making knives, hunting, camping, cooking and rebuilding small engines. Frank had a great love for family and friends; "strays" were always welcome in Franks home and he made sure they had a meal before leaving. He never ended a conversation with his grandkids without telling them, "love you mostest."

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary Shockley of Sagle; three sons, Frank Shockley Jr. of Libby, Mont., William "Bill" Shockley of Lakeside, Fla., and Eric (Sharon) Shockley of Kalispell, Mont.; two daughters, Cyndi (Russ) Puppe of Missoula, Mont., and Carina (Chad) Peck of Spokane, Wash.; 11 grandchildren, Christine Elaine, Michelle (husband Neal), Tasha, Lysa, Richard, Rachel, Kaily, Michael, Conner, Brenna and Roni; two great-grandchildren, Geoffery and Elias; two sisters of Ann Surface of Junction City, Ore., and Delores Comer of Comano Island, Wash.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Jack Brumbaugh, Carol Kelly, and June Crow.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
