Steven Brian White, 36, passed to heaven on Friday, May 6, 2005 at his home in Sagle, Idaho, due to an enlarged heart.

A memorial gathering and potluck will be held at 4:30 p.m., Sunday, May 15, 2005, at the Sandpoint Community Hall, 204 South First Ave.

Steven was born on Sept. 17, 1968, in Seattle, Wash., to James and Adren White. The family moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, in 1977, Steven later graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1987.

After high school, Steven attended truck driving school in California. He worked for Sierra Chevrolet in Colfax, Calif. When he returned to Sandpoint he went to work for Clyde's Towing. Steven was currently working for Don Richardson Excavating, a job that he truly enjoyed.

He loved teaching people about trucks, and he volunteered his time teaching big truck safety to driver's education classes. Steven was a man who loved his family. He always gave more than he received. He will be missed by many, but loved by all who knew him. He enjoyed shooting guns, military fighter planes, and helping people.

He is survived by his best friend and companion, Bobbie McElyea of Sagle; three children, Jasmine, Jordan and newborn son Jacob; his mother, Adren (Gene) McCain of Careywood, Idaho; a sister, Karen Sauer of Careywood, Idaho; a brother, Allen Freeberg of Careywood; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Howard "Papa" Hendrix. At Steven's request his urn will be buried on his grandfather's grave.

Donations may be sent to Horizon Credit Union to help Steven's family.
