Council deserves thanks for revieiwng police department

I believe that we should thank the council members who are reviewing our police department! I personally believe that the Sandpoint Police Department has been allowed to run uncontrolled to the detriment of many residents. Ask the many people who have had parking tickets, or other minor infractions that could have been handled with more discretion.

I've been asked by many new arrivals if we have a need for so many patrolmen or if our crime levels are high. The greatest factor to consider however, before coming to any decision is to ask the younger generation as I have, you'll find that they have a very low opinion of the way our police conduct themselves so please ask; you'll be surprised at the stories you hear!
