Bonner County officials deserve impeachment

| April 30, 2006 9:00 PM

I just came home from a Bonner County commissioners' business meeting. I still believe that their agenda, as printed, is borderline illegal.

Subject matter in the afternoon session was called, "final plan for new construction on the tax roll."

Here is what was decided:

1. For about $80,000 of tax monies, we will see new construction placed on the tax rolls.

2. No effort will be made by our current commissioners to try even a little bit for any retroactive recovery of back taxes.

3. In summary, our elected officials knew a crime was being committed and did little, if anything, about the fact.

They are now getting to spend an additional $80,000 to correct the criminality of the non-taxpaying homeowners at our expense. I believe that our officials were guilty of breaking the laws of Idaho before, during and after the fact just by doing nothing.

How say you, the victims? Re-elect? No. Impeach.
