Donald Frank Wallace

Donald Frank Wallace of Atlantis, Fla., and Sandpoint, Idaho, died on May 30, 2006.

Don was the beloved husband for 17 years of Betty Powell Wallace, and for 36 years of the late Royce Tyree Wallace; loving father of Margaret Ayoub of Vienna, Va., Catherine Foy of Oakton, Va., Laura Bell of Murray, Utah, and loving stepfather of Patty Croccolo of Shrewsbury, Mass.; He is also survived by his brother, Robert Wallace of Long Island, his loving sons-in-law,, numerous nieces and nephews and other dear friends.

Don was born in Washington, D.C., on Aug. 15, 1924, was a decorated P-51 fighter pilot of World War II, and a long-term employee of the Federal Aviation Administration.

Don was one-of-a-kind, kept us all laughing, is dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held June 12, 2006, at Vienna, Va., followed by a private service with military honors at Quantico National Cemetery.
