Department should weed out bad ones

| August 10, 2010 9:00 PM

I heartily endorse Mr. Wes Hanson’s letter!

It has been known for sometime that the Sandpoint Police Department has a bad reputation. It makes you wonder if they’ve ever been trained to be a sheriff.

Once a juvenile is charged with whatever he has done it seems he’s caught in a net, i.e. on his way to work so he can pay his fine, but he’s arrested for not paying that fine!

Police chief, why don’t you weed out the bad ones?

To all the personnel etc., who write reports about the accused (that the judge reviews) write the truth!  Don’t say the fines are not paid when in fact there are receipts to prove otherwise.
