| December 15, 2010 6:00 AM

KELLOGG — Sandpoint jumped out to an early 13-2 lead, but it was all Kellogg from there, as the Wildcats downed the Bulldogs 74-63 in nonleauge boys basketball action Tuesday night at Kellogg High School.

Jackson Olin led the Bulldogs (3-2) with 20 points, but defense proved the difference, as the Wildcats came back to eventually build a 17 point lead behind Eric Fields, who scored a game-high 24 points.

“We jumped out on them pretty hard,” said head coach Tyler Haynes, whose team had trouble getting stops. “The bottom line is they shot 59 percent from the field.”

Cole Fuhrman added 15 and Blaine Shultz 12, and Brandon Hawkins grabbed a team-high eight rebounds in defeat.

Sandpoint hosts another 3A team in St. Maries on Thursday.
