Sandra Lee Courtney, 70

Sandra Lee Courtney, 70, passed away on Friday, Jan. 15, 2010 at her home in Laclede, Idaho.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010 at St. Michael’s Cathedral in Boise, Idaho.

Sandy was born in Sheridan, Wyo. Her parents were Donald and Mary Ashbaugh.

She grew up in Richland, Wash., graduating high school in 1957 and attending the University of Washing-ton.

Sandy also worked for Hughes Airwest as a flight attendant.

Sandy married Gene Courtney on Nov. 25, 1961 in Boise at St. Mich-ael’s Cathed-ral.  Sandy and Gene raised their four children, while Gene’s work took them all over the United States.

 In April 2007, they retired and moved permanently to Laclede, Idaho.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Gene Courtney of Laclede; four children, Kris and husband Manuel, Mike and wife Kari, Nicole and husband Brent, and Elyse and husband John; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Heather, Alex, Courtney, Megan, Sami, and Chloe; and a great-grandchild, Ayden.
