Trooper's explanation was simply ludicrous

Regarding the illegal harvest of a moose by Idaho State Police Trooper Jeff Jayne: I, and the constituents of Bonner County and the great state of Idaho, have something to say.

How can a sworn and trusted law enforcement officer claim to have forgotten a date that involves a hunt that is a once-in-a-lifetime privilege? This explanation is ludicrous.

If the tables were turned, anyone else would be held 100 percent accountable. I would like to think that no one is above the law and the law of the land applies to everyone who resides within it.

If Trooper Jayne can’t remember a simple date, how can we trust him to make judgments and decisions that affect the lives of the taxpayers of this state.
