Why aren't others rushing to help us?

Is it just me or have I missed something on the news? Everyone of my friends knows that I spend a lot of time watching the news. Whenever there is a disaster any place on this planet America responds with untold hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars in aid and or emergency supplies for the needy.

I have yet to hear one word of any country (not saying there’s not) coming to America’s aid when and since Hurricane Sandy hit. I think it’s time for us to start putting some of that aid money into an “America’s rainy day fund.”

It seems that we get spit in the face except when they get slapped by Mother Nature and they start their whining and crying. This should be a lesson learned. I guess through our kindness that’s what makes us America.
