Bulldog relay teams shine at Lakeland track meet

RATHDRUM — Six girls relays and three boys relays each took first place on Thursday at the Lakeland Relays on Thursday at Corbit Field.

In most individual events, times and marks from the top three athletes were combined to make up the team’s time or mark in the event. For instance, Lani Wahl, Maddi Schoening and Jennie Meulenberg combined to win the long jump, with all three jumps totaling 42 feet 11 inches. Of note: Sam Levora and Matthew Burgstahler teamed up to win the unique two-person mile in 3:58, meaning an average of two-sub-two minute 800s, a strong showing.

The Bulldog track team is competing today at the Coeur d’Alene Invite at 9:30 a.m. at Coeur d’Alene High School.
