Core standards just a bad idea for everyone

Many things to ask which did not get attention.

1. On our .gov education website you will find the “example” questions for the new online testing (SBAC). Can anyone point out one conservative answer?

2. When Gov. C.L. “Butch” Otter signed the SBAC agreement he relinquished Idaho’s control to leave. In the contract it clearly says “the chief education official of the member requesting an exit from the consortium must submit in writing its request to leave the consortium and reasons for the exit request and The executive committee will act upon the request at its next regularly scheduled meeting following receipt of the request.”

3. The core standards overrides the vote of the people as we voted down “overwhelmingly” Prop 3 which ask “Shall the legislation amending school district funding, requiring provision of computing devices and online courses for high school graduation be approved”?

The core recommendation clearly states “Common core: training from IDLA focused on five models of blended learning and they could get — laptops, iPods, iPads, tablets, apps, etc.”

This is more then a standard and needs to have more debates before implementation. The tests now we rank 47th in 50 states, shouldn’t they figure out how to get them to pass the ones we have now before making it “more” complicated?

Why for health class does it clearly states they must be taught about “masturbation, intercourse, etc. and have time to practice.” What are they learning in health we want our children and grandchildren practicing” or worse “practicing with each other”?
